JETT: The Far Shore will be expanded next year with a new campaign that takes place three years after the events of the main game, and it'll be completely free on PS5, PS4. Scheduled to arrive early in 2023, it's called Given Time. "As Mei arises from torpor into a mostly hibernating Ground Control, there are new whispers from the wyld to seek out and unravel, this time, alone," a press release teases.
This new story will be the end of Mei's tale, and will resolve many of the main story threads set up by the base game. "This new campaign is much more free-roaming and player-driven, we're getting more out of our distinct ecosystem-puzzling and light survival systems this time out, but not to worry, we aren't shy about having some cosmic prog rock spectacle in unexpected places," explained co-creator Craig D. Adams.
If you haven't experienced the game yet and happen to enjoy gaming on PC, then a demo for JETT: The Far Shore will be released as part of Steam's Next Fest next week. We were fascinated by the original title throughout its review process last year, but it ultimately fell a bit short with a 6/10 rating. "While it presents itself well and has some neat ideas, Jett: The Far Shore never launches into the stars," we concluded in our JETT: The Far Shore PS5 review. "Flying around, soaking in the atmosphere, and gathering info on a foreign planet is relaxing fun, but it's scuppered by messy combat scenarios and a story that falls flat."

I still have absolutely no idea what ‘type’ of game this actually is… in regards to the genre, or what the gameplay loop would be like etc. Guess I’m just not quite interested enough to actually watch some gameplay on YouTube though.
I downloaded this a while back and still havent booted it up. Anyone played this? I should give it a go
I got the plat last year. Game was very strange. There is a made up language all the audio dialogue is in which forces you to have to read the subtitles to know whats happening, but all the dialogue happens while you play the game, making it really hard to drive around and read at the same time. Its honestly a terrible design decision that really ruined the whole thing for me. The art and music are cool but the gameplay was really frustrating and the subtitles were a huge mistake on the devs part. It's like a 4 or 5/10. No idea why they're doing DLC.
